Scott Willhite is the owner of Willhite Design and a long time friend. Scott asked us to update his old site, which he had created himself with a new, fresh design.

Design Brief

Scott was after a very simple site that focused on his amazing work and not on an over the top design. He liked the idea of using earth tone colors. Lastly he needed the ability to update the site all on his own (hello wordpress)

Initial Concepts

I met with Scott to show him a few wire-frames I had come up with and he hated all of them. It was back to the drawing board. At least all of the wire-frames were built in Adobe Fireworks so new changes were fast and easy. After a few additional tweaks we were back on the road to success.

An unfortunate casualty

Final Site Build

Once Scott was happy with the wire-frames I moved onto building the actual site. The simplicity of the site made layout fairly straightforward, although there were many times when pixel perfect work was required to pull off the desired look. I think the final site is a solid website, with lots of room for Scott to expand in the future.
